A blank slate in Christchurch
One of my latest jobs, for a client in Christchurch in October 2026: a bedroom, bathroom and toilet. The bedroom hadn’t been refreshed for some time, so my client wanted a blank slate and chose white. Here’s how it went, step by step.
1.Stripped
The old feature wallpaper came off the bedroom walls.
2.Filled and sanded
The walls were filled and sanded to get the best finish.
3.Ceiling repaired
The artex ceiling had some damage, so repairs were made first.
4.Finished
Walls and ceiling in Durable Matt Brilliant White. Woodwork sanded and prepared, the old wooden window sill primed, then everything finished in Aqua Guard Satin.
5.Bathroom ceiling
Finished in Durable Eggshell.
